Thoroughly examined water heater, water softener system, pressure tank, well pump components, and associated plumbing connections including valves, gauges, and piping throughout mechanical room. All equipment found operating within normal parameters with no deficiencies identified.
Responded to service call for non-functioning Toto washlet bidet seat approximately 3-4 years old with no spray operation. Performed diagnostic assessment of the unit and consulted with Toto technical support to troubleshoot the issue. Responded to service call for a 3-year-old Bradford White 40-gallon natural gas water heater displaying a solid red indicator light and not producing hot water. Upon arrival, found the unit in the off position with the pilot light extinguished. Relit the pilot light and turned the gas valve to the on position to engage the main burner. The burner ignited properly and maintained steady flame during observation. Exercised the gas valve by cycling between pilot mode and temperature settings to verify proper operation and response. Contacted Bradford White technical support to confirm diagnostic interpretation of the solid red light error code, which indicated no flame detection by the gas valve sensor. Per manufacturer recommendation, performed a gas valve reset procedure to clear any potential fault conditions. Completed annual cooling tune-up on 26-year-old Lennox air conditioning system. Performed comprehensive inspection including contactor, capacitor, refrigerant charge, compressor operation, condenser coil, air filter, control board, heat exchanger, evaporator coil, and temperature split across system. All components found to be operating within acceptable parameters. Noted moderate rust present around factory welds on backside of primary heat exchanger. Due to advanced age of equipment and observed heat exchanger condition, recommended proactive replacement of both furnace and air conditioning system to prevent future failure. Scheduled service advisor consultation for replacement equipment proposal.
