For Web site visitors who dont make purchases or otherwise identify themselves
If you do not register or login to our Web site, our Web server does not have access to personally identifiable information about you. It does not know your email address unless you volunteer it.

A cookie is a tiny piece of text asking permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive to anonymously identify your browser. If you agree, then your browser adds the text in a small file. If you have set your browser to notify you before accepting a cookie, you will notice a request to set our cookie on your computer. Its purpose is to let us know when you visit our site. You will be able to shop online with Hurlburt, even if your Internet browser is set to reject cookies.

This cookie, by itself, only tells us that a previous visitor has returned, it doesn’t tell us your e-mail address or who you are. If you want to give us that information later via registration, that’s your choice and, if you choose, the cookie allows you to save your registration password for your convenience on return visits. Any and all information is only for Hurlburt’s internal use and will never be distributed to other parties.

Public and Private Keys Security
Hurlburt’s Website use Secure Socket Layers (SSL) encryption, the industry standard in transferring information, to process your orders. The SSL encrypts, or translates, your order information into a highly indecipherable code, which is processed immediately.

For your security, the verification process happens in the background every time you place an order on our site.

An SSL Certificate consists of a public key and a private key. The public key is used to encrypt information and the private key is used to decipher it. When a browser points to a secured domain, a secure sockets layer handshake authenticates the server and the client and establishes an encryption method and a unique session key. They can begin a secure session that guarantees message privacy and message integrity.

Request your contact information
Upon request, we provide site visitors with access to contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number) that we maintain about them. To request this information, email office@hurlburthp.com and write “Send Contact Info” in the subject line. We will email you the information. If any of it is incorrect, please reply with the correct information.
