Responded to no cooling call on residential split system AC unit. Upon inspection, found weak capacitor and compressor windings beginning to fail on R22 system. Diagnosed failing compressor through electrical testing and determined system was beyond economical repair due to age and refrigerant type. Discussed replacement options with homeowner for aging R22 equipment.
Responded to service call for non-functioning garbage disposal that was initially making a buzzing noise before ceasing all operation. Upon inspection, used allen wrench to manually rotate the disposal mechanism to check for jammed impeller. Reset the disposal unit using the reset button located on the bottom of the unit. Assessed disposal functionality and determined unit was operational after reset procedure. Documented equipment condition with photographs showing InSinkErator disposal unit installation under sink and drain opening condition.
Installed 75-gallon natural gas power vent water heater in basement utility area, replacing existing like unit with all necessary connections to copper supply lines and PVC venting system. Inspected the plumbing system and documented existing conditions including the damaged sediment filter housing, corroded copper piping, and compromised water quality. Replaced the cracked sediment filter assembly to restore proper filtration and prevent further contamination of the water supply lines.
Diagnosed 20+ year old Carrier natural gas furnace with no heat complaint. Found failing blower motor leaking oil and producing excessive noise.
