Responded to service call for leaking shower valve. Upon inspection, discovered the cartridge had snapped off inside the valve body, causing water leakage around the cartridge area. Assessed the condition of the existing valve assembly and provided replacement options and pricing for complete valve replacement. After reviewing the repair scope and associated costs, the customer elected to attempt the valve replacement independently rather than proceed with professional installation at this time.
Responded to a toilet malfunction where the tank was unable to fill and retain water. Upon inspection, identified severe corrosion on the rubber gasket seal located on the flush valve assembly inside the tank. The deteriorated seal prevented proper sealing, causing continuous water loss and preventing the tank from maintaining adequate water levels. Removed the defective corroded rubber seal from the flush valve and installed a new replacement gasket. Tested the flush mechanism to ensure proper tank filling, water retention, and complete seal integrity. Toilet restored to full operational status.
Responded to emergency call for water leak above basement shower with drop ceiling access. Upon inspection, identified active leak in overhead plumbing and discovered cracked bathtub as source of water damage.
