Identified dual-run capacitor (45+5 MFD) reading outside manufacturer specifications and recommended replacement with estimate provided. Identified unit uses R22 refrigerant by cross-referencing system details through Bluon database due to worn rating plate. Performed static pressure test revealing system low on refrigerant charge and actively losing pressure. Detected refrigerant odor at condensate drain line, indicating probable evaporator coil leak. Verified capacitor and contactor operational through electrical testing. Checked compressor winding resistance to confirm overload switch in open position. Due to company policy discontinuing R22 refrigerant repairs, advised customer that system replacement is only available option. Scheduled service advisor consultation for following day to discuss new equipment installation.
Responded to a bathroom vanity sink with a stuck pop-up drain stopper. Upon diagnostic inspection, determined that the trip lever assembly had become disconnected, allowing the stopper mechanism to lodge in the drain and prevent proper drainage. Removed the P-trap to gain access to the stopper from below and used a screwdriver to push the stopper upward through the drain opening for extraction. Reassembled the trip lever linkage and secured it with a rubber band behind the connection point to prevent future disconnection. Reinstalled the P-trap and tested the pop-up stopper assembly for proper operation. Verified full range of motion for opening and closing the drain stopper and confirmed no leaks at trap connections. System restored to full functionality.
