Responded to kitchen sink plumbing issue following remodel conversion from double bowl to single bowl sink. Successfully installed and connected tubular drain assembly with P-trap configuration to existing garbage disposal unit, restoring proper drainage function to the kitchen sink system.
Returned to address leak issue on Roman tub faucet system. Replaced springs, seats, and cartridge on the cold side valve with manufacturer-specified replacement parts compatible with standard brands including Moen and Delta. Testing confirmed proper operation and leak resolution upon completion.
Replaced a failing ball valve up to 1" that was used to control water flow through the main water line. Performed water line repair up to 1" using two fittings with partial copper/PEX/CPVC/steel materials. Replaced the pressure vacuum breaker (PVB) and completed repiping to the new backflow prevention device. Simplified the plumbing configuration to the PVB, improving system efficiency and accessibility for future maintenance in the basement utility area.
Performed scheduled AC tune-up and maintenance on system with crawl space installation. During inspection, discovered a seized zone motor in the crawlspace that is not opening properly. Responded to a water leak at the irrigation system connection point. Upon inspection, identified a cracked FEBCO vacuum breaker (model LK9535C) with a split body that was causing water leakage when the sprinkler system was activated. The backflow prevention device showed significant damage and was deemed non-repairable.
