Leveled dishwasher and made necessary adjustments to prevent interference with surrounding drawer operation.
Responded to callback for in-floor heating system not operating after previous repair. Diagnosed zone motor stuck in closed position, preventing hot water flow to radiant floor zones. Manually freed stuck zone motor, cycled system through full operation, and verified proper function and heat delivery to affected zones. Provided quote for zone motor replacement as preventive measure due to mechanical failure history.
Replaced backflow preventer on hydronic heating system with exact bolt-on replacement unit. Removed existing backflow prevention device from copper piping assembly, installed new unit, and refilled system to proper operating pressure of approximately 50 PSI as indicated on boiler pressure gauge.
Responded to service call for leaking kitchen faucet and reverse osmosis faucet. Replaced worn Moen single-handle cartridge in main kitchen faucet to eliminate leak at base. Installed customer-supplied non-air gap reverse osmosis faucet on countertop. Tested both faucets for proper operation and verified all connections were secure with no leaks present.
Responded to service call for NTI boiler providing basement in-floor heat that was not maintaining proper temperature, heating only to 67 degrees despite being set to 85 degrees. Diagnosed system and found it was low on water due to a malfunctioning backflow preventer that was preventing water from entering the system. Disconnected the backflow prevention device and performed testing to confirm proper water flow and verify the backflow preventer itself was the source of the obstruction. Ordered replacement part to restore system to proper operation and ensure consistent in-floor heating performance.
Responded to service call for leaking reverse osmosis faucet. Diagnosed manufacturing defect causing water to leak from the weep hole when activated. Removed defective unit and informed homeowner of need for replacement faucet, which they will purchase separately.
Successfully replaced the malfunctioning zone damper motor, restoring full operational capability to all HVAC zones. Installation required navigating tight spaces between existing ductwork and verified proper system function after completion.
Diagnosed fluctuating water temperature and pressure issues on a 2-year-old water heater installation. Inspection revealed failed water softener had caused significant hard water buildup in the system. Presented customer with replacement options to address both the softener failure and mineral accumulation affecting performance.
Responded to service call for zone heating issues where one zone was maintaining temperatures too high and humidity levels were insufficient. Diagnosed and replaced failed zone motor actuator on Honeywell control device. Scheduled follow-up estimate for steam humidifier installation to address ongoing humidity concerns.
Responded to no heat service call for 29-year-old Evcon furnace. Diagnosed failed inducer draft motor and broken igniter. Replaced draft motor which restored proper operation of that component, but system remains non-operational due to damaged igniter that customer declined to have replaced. Visual inspection revealed significant dust accumulation on blower assembly and aging wiring in control compartment. Recommended complete system replacement due to age and condition.
Responded to no-heat call at triplex property. Diagnosed boiler system with zero pressure and failing circulator pump not pushing water through the system. Observed severe deterioration and corrosion at heat exchanger base, likely causing pressure loss through pinhole leaks. Scheduled same-day estimate for complete boiler replacement as repair options would be temporary due to heat exchanger condition.
Replaced oxidized laundry shutoff valves with new units. Existing valves were deteriorated due to age. Installation included connecting new valves to the copper supply lines and attaching braided stainless steel supply hoses. No active leaks were present before or after service.
Diagnosed 10-year-old furnace with ignition failure due to faulty gas valve. Removed old component and installed new Honeywell gas valve, properly connecting all electrical terminals and gas fittings. System now operating correctly with proper ignition sequence and heat output; customer enrolled in rewards program.
Responded to no heat call for 43-year-old Carrier furnace. Diagnosed broken red thermostat wire disconnected from control board, restored heat by stripping and reconnecting wire. Inspection revealed significant corrosion and scale on heat exchanger, though no visible cracks were found. Advised customer that replacement is recommended due to age and limited parts availability.
Responded to a service call for a non-operational Broan HE Series air exchanger displaying error code E26. Diagnosed control panel malfunction preventing button functionality. Reprogrammed thermostat and verified proper operation of all auxiliary stats, successfully restoring full functionality to the air exchanger system.
Replaced leaking hot water cartridge in kitchen faucet and installed new pop-up drain assembly in bathroom sink. Both customer-supplied parts were successfully installed, resolving the dripping issue from the hot side of the kitchen faucet.
Inspected non-functional Culligan water softener system showing significant deterioration, including visible oxidation on copper pipes and water damage on surrounding wall. System exhibited structural damage that compromises functionality. Provided comprehensive replacement options to client after evaluation of current unit's condition.
Responded to service call for excessive humidity after whole-home humidifier installation. Discovered humidity levels at 50-55% with humidifier running continuously due to improper wiring (jumper between R and H terminals providing constant power). Removed jumper to restore proper operational control and resolve the issue.
Responded to customer report of slow furnace ignition and gas odor. Diagnosed issue with clogged air filter causing system to overheat and short cycle. Performed comprehensive inspection of flame sensor, ignitor, safety switches, pressure switch, inducer, burners, heat exchanger, gas valve and connections. Customer replaced filter during visit. System now operating within normal parameters with proper temperature split and gas pressure verified.
Responded to no heat complaint on furnace where system would ignite but flame would extinguish after 10-15 seconds. Diagnosed dirty flame sensor causing improper flame detection. Performed cleaning of flame sensor, restoring normal system operation and heat production.
