Performed temporary adjustment to gas pressure to improve operation, though valve still not meeting specifications. Recommended replacement of gas valve to resolve recurring ignition problems. Noted moisture/corrosion near fresh air intake likely contributing to component malfunction.
Responded to no heat call for 22-year-old furnace exhibiting short cycling. Additionally, blower motor showed significant oil leakage. Due to critical safety concerns and age of unit, determined system unsafe for operation and scheduled replacement estimate.
Diagnosed a 2010 natural gas powervent water heater with no hot water production. Inspection revealed gas valve/ignition problems as evidenced by the digital display on control panel showing flame pattern irregularities. Due to the unit's age (approximately 11-12 years old) and the nature of the ignition system failure, recommended full water heater replacement as repairs would not be cost-effective or reliable for long-term operation.

Conducted comprehensive inspection of system components including PVC venting, connections, and overall operational functionality. Customer plans to install a Nest thermostat in the future and was provided with installation options.

Performed a 2-hour sold repair involving complete replacement of burners on the furnace due to deterioration. Performed comprehensive system checks including flame sensor, ignitor, inducer, condensate lines, venting, gas valve, and gas pressure. Drained water from inducer and condensate lines. After repairs, verified proper operation with post-service exhaust flue readings at 57ppm and confirmed normal system functionality through thermostat cycling.
Responded to a no heat service call on a newly installed furnace after electrical work had been completed on the humidifier. Reattached the wire, verified proper operation of the heating system, and performed a comprehensive equipment inspection with no additional issues found.
Performed comprehensive HVAC tune-up on 5-year-old furnace reported to have previously failed a combustion safety test. Inspection revealed extremely corroded and rusty burners contributing to high CO readings. Thoroughly examined heat exchanger (showing some rust but no cracks or holes), verified normal gas pressure, and confirmed proper operation of inducer and blower motors. Cleaned condensation trap and inspected flue pipe with no issues found. Replaced deteriorated burners to resolve the combustion safety concern and ensure proper system operation for the heating season.
Replaced deteriorated outdoor hose bib and remediated leaking copper piping in the plumbing system that was causing water intrusion between floors. Cut out damaged copper section, installed new piping connections, and secured a loose toilet with silicone sealant to prevent further leakage issues.
