Responded to a no-hot-water call on a three-year-old A.O. Smith electric water heater. Upon inspection, discovered the top heating element was burnt out and melted, with evidence of a fried electrical line in the reset button compartment. Verified incoming power supply at 240V to confirm electrical service was adequate. Replaced the entire 50-gallon A.O. Smith water heater under manufacturer warranty due to the extent of the electrical damage to the upper element assembly. Responded to a clogged kitchen sink in a single-family residence. The blockage was located approximately 20 feet down the drain line. Installed new factory burner assembly, which ignited successfully on first attempt. Performed two complete heating cycles to verify proper operation and confirm reliable ignition performance.
Responded to report of water leak in wall adjacent to bathroom area. Upon inspection, identified failed exterior hose bib with freeze damage to valve body causing active water intrusion. Removed damaged hose bib assembly and replaced with new frost-proof unit. Installed access panel in wall for future serviceability and added dedicated shut-off valve to allow isolation of hose bib without affecting main water supply. Verified proper operation of new fixture and confirmed no additional leaks present. AC Tune-Up: I completed a full AC tune-up by cleaning condenser coils, flushing the condensate drain, inspecting electrical components, and testing system pressures. These steps enhanced energy efficiency, reduced wear, and extended the unit’s service life.
Plumbing Repair: Responded to a slow-draining bathroom sink by using a professional drain auger to remove an obstruction deep in the P-trap. Followed up with a camera inspection to ensure full flow restoration and prevent future blockages.
