Responded to no heat service call for 10+ year old natural gas furnace. Diagnostic inspection revealed a cracked heat exchanger, presenting a significant safety hazard. Complete furnace replacement was performed to restore proper heating function and ensure safe operation.
Performed furnace tune-up on FRP unit of undetermined age. Discovered critical safety issues including cracked heat exchanger, significant soot buildup inside heat exchanger, mold accumulation on components, and a stuck inducer motor. Upon testing, unit produced extremely dangerous CO levels exceeding 3,000 ppm as verified with Testo analyzer. Red-tagged furnace as unsafe for operation and recommended replacement options.
Responded to no hot water complaint for 9-year-old Ruud electric water heater. Diagnostic revealed unit locked out with flammable vapor sensor error code. Attempted sensor replacement but heater remained in lockout state. Recommended full water heater replacement.
Diagnosed 14-year-old Lennox furnace failure with no heat. System starts and draft motor activates with proper voltage through safeties and pressure switches, but fails to enter ignition trial, displaying low pressure switch code despite switch being closed.
