Furnace Repair FAQs
When you need a furnace repair, you may also have some questions. Check out the list of FAQs below, and feel free to reach out if you still have questions.
Why Are There Cold Spots in My Home?
Have you noticed that one room is warm while another is cold? This is often a sign of poor airflow. Addressing this problem can be as simple as changing the filter or as complex as needing ductwork repairs. It’s important to point out that it might also indicate an aging furnace.
Why Does My Furnace Have a Yellow Pilot Light?
If you notice your pilot light is yellow or flickering, it’s time to call for furnace repairs. A blue flame is what you should see instead. A yellow flame indicates incomplete combustion, possibly from dirty valves or burner ports, poor ventilation, or a gas leak. In any case, you need immediate assistance.
Why Does My Furnace Keep Cycling?
A furnace should keep your home at a steady temperature. It should cycle off and on at regular intervals, usually about 15 minutes each, two or three times an hour. However, if you find that it’s constantly cycling, there is a problem. Short cycling may indicate airflow problems, thermostat issues, or overheating.
